Hello! My name is Sarah Harris, and I have over twenty years experience working in public education. I am originally from Orlando, Florida, and moved to Tallahassee to attend Florida State University where I earned my B.S. in English Education (Go Noles!). I started my career with three years at Lincoln High School, followed by six years at New Smyrna Beach High School, and then returned to Leon High School here in Leon County. While at Leon, I taught English for five years and then served as a school counselor for eight years.

The 2024-2025 school year was my first year at KLES. I learned very quickly that the students, faculty, staff, parents, and community members of KLES are truly top notch. Here at KLES, I serve as both a School Counselor and Guidance Special Area Teacher.

I live in Tallahassee with my husband and three children (Hunter, Huck, and Hadley) who are all former KLES students! I coached cross-country for ten years and still love to run. I love fishing, hiking, tennis, reading, music, traveling, and spending quality time with family and friends.

It is an honor to teach and support the wonderful students of Killearn Lakes Elementary School, and I look forward to each new school year.
