Killearn Lakes Elementary

My name is Karen Burton, and I am absolutely thrilled to be joining the Kindergarten Crew for another amazing year at KLES! I am a Tallahassee native, graduating from Leon High School in 2001. I currently live with my husband, Justin, our two children, Emma (15, 10th grade) and Cam (10, 5th grade), and our two crazy cats, Hershey and Oreo. 

I have been teaching and working with children for over 24 years. I have taught and directed at a facility childcare center, as well as running my own home daycare. I went back to school to get my Elementary Education degree from Flagler College, and now I am eager to enter my 10th year teaching Elementary with all of you!

Our time together is going to be a year of fun, learning, and lots of adventures! I encourage you to contact me should you ever have any questions or concerns. My goal is to provide a positive, consistent and cohesive network for each of my students and their families. I can't wait to see what the year has in store for us!
