Killearn Lakes Elementary

A National Blue Ribbon School

Varying Exceptionalities

Varying Exceptionalities

Our Varying Exceptionalities program serves students in a full-time, self-contained classroom designed to meet diverse learning needs. Instruction is based on a specialized curriculum aligned with each student’s cognitive level as documented through an Individualized Education Program (IEP), helping them access grade-level standards in a way that works for them. Students receive individualized support in core subjects—reading, math, science, and social studies—as well as social skills development. Whenever possible, they participate in special area classes and school activities to promote inclusion and engagement.
