Hi!
My name is Krista Wilson and I am a fifth-grade math and science teacher here at Killearn Lakes Elementary. Before we start our year together, allow me to introduce myself and share more about me.
I grew up in South Florida, in the Greater Fort Lauderdale area, where I attended St. Thomas Aquinas High School, (go Raiders!), Nova Southeastern University where I received my degree in Environmental Science. I then began my career as an Environmental Scientist for the South Florida Water Management District. I shortly decided to obtain my Masters in Environmental Horticulture from the University of Florida (Go Gators!!!), continuing my scientific career with the Water Management District. I also taught multiple science courses at Broward College for 4 years while working as a Scientist. I have a son, Jack and daughter, Emilia. After starting a family and moving to Tallahassee, I decided to move back into the classroom and have been teaching in 5th grade at KLES since! I love working with 5th graders, watching them grow throughout the year! I am extremely excited to be teaching at our amazing school and look forward to a fun and prosperous school year!
I look forward to meeting you!
Mrs. Wilson
