    Chorus/ensemble for 4th and 5th graders. Meets at 8:00 am on Monday and Wednesday.

    LEAP: Leprechaun Extended Academic Program

    For select Kindergarten, 4th and 5th grade students needing support in reading and math. This free tutoring program provides students with small group instruction that is key to strengthening skills and ensuring steady progress. Meets after school on Mondays and Wednesdays.

    Math Mini Mu Club

    For advanced 4th and 5th graders who are interested in learning and practicing higher level math strategies and competing in seasonal math competitions (usually on a Saturday). Students must attend a 45-minute tryout/written test. Member spots are based on the highest scoring tests within the student's grade level. Mini Mu meets after school on Mondays in the Media Center.

    Safety Patrols

    For 5th graders. Students tend to the flag pole and patrol areas around the school to assist others in need while maintaining a safe school environment. Students must have E’s in citizenship and work/study, display strong leadership and communication skills.

    Book Nook

    For all students. The group meets before school, Monday through Fridays.

    Green Team

    Recycling group for 5th grade only. Students who demonstrate responsibility and independence are selected and conduct recycling pick-up throughout the KLES campus.

    PE Mileage Club

    Running club for 3rd, 4th & 5th graders.

    Beginning Strings-Orchestra Club

    For 5th graders. Meets at 7:45am Tuesday & Thursdays before school. Students who opt into the program learn to play violin, viola or cello, learn to read music, learn ensemble skills, and grow in confidence and critical-thinking skills.

    KLES Breakfast Club

    For 3rd, 4th & 5th graders. Meets before school every Tuesday to help teach social skills and facilitate friendships.

    1st – 5th grade students are invited to come to Tech Lab before school to catch up or get ahead on their Lexia assignments or other homework. Headphones are provided. The lab is open Tuesday through Friday from 8:00 A.M. till 8:20 A.M.
