Killearn Lakes Elementary

Hi there! I’m Kate Vanderberg and I’m SO excited to be your child’s first grade teacher at Killearn Lakes Elementary! I am a proud Tallahassee native and have been teaching here since 2017. The classroom is my happy place; it’s where big smiles, curious questions and amazing growth happen every single day!

I have a BIG love for learning and believe school should be fun, hands-on and full of “wow” moments. Building strong relationships with my students and their families is one of my favorite parts of teaching and I work hard to create a classroom that feels safe, welcoming and full of joy. We laugh, learn, cheer each other on and celebrate success-big and small!

I can’t wait for a year packed with learning adventures, teamwork and LOTS of first grade magic!
